Gaga's YouTube channel restored

Lady Gaga Lady Gaga's official YouTube channel has been restored after it was blocked over a copyright dispute.

Yesterday, [14 July] a notice on the site stated that the suspension was due to "multiple or severe violations of YouTube's copyright policy".

By Thursday evening the account was back to normal.

The Google Inc. owned YouTube channel declined to comment. Its policy is to remove accounts after three copyright violations.

Big in Japan

It's being reported the dispute was with a media company, after Lady Gaga's perfomance on Japanese channel Fuji TV.

She appeared on weekly show, SMAP X SMAP, to promote her new album.

Interscope, the singer's record label and publicist, has yet to comment.

Gaga's HBO concert special Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden on Thursday earned five Emmy Award nominations.

Newsbeat technology reporter Mila Kunis alongside Friends With Benefits co-star Justin Timberlake Mila Kunis alongside Friends With Benefits co-star Justin Timberlake Hollywood actress Mila Kunis has said she will go on a date with a US Marine sergeant who asked her out on YouTube.

The star of Black Swan was being interviewed along with Friends With Benefits co-star Justin Timberlake when she was shown the clip.

In it Sgt Scott Moore asked her to be his date for the Marine Corps Ball in November.

He is currently serving with 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Afghanistan.

In the video he introduces himself as Sergeant Moore but says she can call him Scotty.

A statement from the 2nd Marine Division's public affairs office, on behalf of Sgt Scott Moore, said: "The idea behind my YouTube invitation to Mila Kunis came about after some Marines from 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines, and I were hanging out talking.

"One of the Marines bet that I wouldn't make the video and post it.

"Of course, a bet between Marines must be honored, so I took the chance.

"You can't make shots that you don't take, so I took the best shot I could."

'Think about it'

Walking through a heavily-fortified compound with shaved head, glasses and in full combat gear he looked into a friend's video camera and addressed her directly.

"I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps Ball on 18 November in Greenville, North Carolina, with yours truly," he said.

"So take a second, think about it and get back to me."

The 27-year-old actress was surprised at first but then asked for details.

That's when Justin Timberlake stepped in.

"Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country."

After being persuaded, Mila Kunis then looked into the camera and told Moore that she was going to make it happen.

Black's Friday video off YouTube

Rebecca Black The official video for Rebecca Black's internet hit Friday has been removed from YouTube.

A message in place of the video now reads: "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black. Sorry about that."

A spokesman for the 13-year-old says her team asked YouTube to take the video down because of a dispute with the song's producers Ark Music Factory.

The firm started to charge $2.99 (?1.85) to watch the clip last week.

At the time Black tweeted: "Thanks for all the messages regarding the $2.99 fee added to Friday video, I have NOTHING to do with this!!

"PS...My Manager and Lawyer are on this and are going to get to the bottom of this! Stay tuned..."

Black's lawyers and Ark Music have been in dispute over who owns the rights to the internet phenomenon, which had garnered more than 160 million views, for months.

The singer's parents paid $4,000 (?2,474) for production of the song and video, which has since been performed by Justin Bieber, as well as on hit show Glee.

Black's lawyers sent a letter to Ark Music back in March, accusing them of copyright infringement and unlawful exploitation of her publicity rights.
